Introduction
The Asia Forest Institute (AFI) is a non-profit organization that conducts both domestic and international projects in the forestry and environmental sectors. It collaborates with government ministries, including the Korea Forest Service, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as international agencies like the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) on international cooperation and development cooperation (ODA) projects. AFI promotes and facilitates international activities related to forest and environmental issues while actively developing cooperative projects and networks with relevant international institutions and organizations, including International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), Asia-Pacific Association of Forestry Research Institutions (APAFRI), and others.
